Revitalizing urban spaces for a warming planet.

In summer 2025, we stood in Sundance Square Plaza in Dallas–Fort Worth, Texas, where we watched children play in a large-scale walkable fountain developed on a former parking lot. The heat was dry and the pavement made it hotter still, but the plaza was full. Cafés were busy, shops were active, and people lingered outside instead of retreating to the air-conditioned indoors.

We then read an Urban Land Institute report noting that within six months of the plaza opening, the surrounding area experienced a 20% increase in retail sales, a tenfold rise in event attendance, and a 5% increase in residential prices. However, the project took +5 years to deliver, 30-million US dollars (30% of which spent on design and engineering), and 18-months of excavation and construction disruption.

What stayed with us was not the fountain itself, but the question it raised. Why do positive climate adaptive outcomes like this require years of planning, design and engineering, zoning, permitting, excavation, and construction?

We asked ourselves:  What would change if it didn’t?

That question became AERISIO — the fast, smart, modular alternative to traditional cooling placemaking. Our premiere product, the AERISIO Oasis, is a walkable cooling fountain that installs above ground on any hard surface in days.

Heat seasons are getting longer and more intense. We built AERISIO because cities and properties have to adapt to the reality of today, without having to wait years for relief.
